Company forcing to serve notice period, please advise what to do ?

28-Jan-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Hi sir, I recently accepted an offer letter by mail from IT company X,and I was asked to join even if I have without relieving letter. So I went to the company on preinformed joining date and I felt something fishy therefore ,I informed HR ,that I am not interested in joining the company, morever I did not submit any documents or sign any documents, I did not even give them relieving letter, Except for PAN card and two month payslips. Now my previous company retained me.Happily back to old company. But HR from the new company X threatening me to serve notice period or pay two months salary, Or he will proceed legally and blacklist me in NASSCOM. Please let me know what power they have over me and suggest how I should proceed.

In order to advise you about your situation it is required to go through your company's policy of employment.

Your employment letter should have all those clauses. If the policy specifies something on those terms that you are imposed on right now by the company you have to abide by them, but if not, you can send them a legal letter through an advocate, for imposing arbitrary and random rules on you.
