Company asking to pay 1.5lacs for not serving notice period

Hi, I had joined an reputed organization but due to some family concern, I left it with in two days. Also updated/shared the reason to HR over the call. Now they are asking to pay amount of 1.5lacs as Notice Period pay. Please suggest what I need to do now.
Nothings, if you have provided them with appropriate reason and you left the company only after serving for two days, you are not liable as per the terms of the contract. But it would be better to send a legal notification on this front to safeguard your future interest.
