Clarification about obc creamy layer

i am presently engineer in PSU and joined as a grade III employe. my wife is also teacher in basic shiksha vibhag in u.p. my salary income is around 12 lakh and my wife salary income is 5 lakhs. no any other income from any other source. should our chield will come in creamy layer? please clarify.

The bar for the availing the benefits of OBC has recently been raised from 6 lac to 8 lac rupees per annum, as your earning is already above the bar therefore the benefits of OBC will not be extended to your son or daughter.

Child will come under creamy layer if the individual salary (mother+father) for last 3 years is more than Rs. 8 lacs..
