Claiming of previous job by showing medical certificates

I have given resignation from the government service after serving 6 years of regular service and now after relieving 3 months I want to go back to that service with medical certificate of mental illness during that period of resignation. Can I claim for the previous service with these certificates??
As you have resigned and wanted to rejoin then you have to check with the concerned organisation only as per their policy and guidelines. If it is an health issue you could have taken the leave on medical ground why did you resign. You please check with your government organisation only to know about your issue as per their policy.
