Cancellation exam after documentation Medical & police verification

We had been selected for Postal assistant in year 2013-14 . after which department published our final result on website . After which department asked us to do Police verification and Medical Examination and submit our original educational document and ensure us to make us join within 1 or 2 months and we wait but after 1 year in 2015 department told us that the whole examination is cancel and those candidate who have join the department is also terminated and ask us to take our document. But in this period we can't apply for other job , so know what can we do to get our job.
