Can previous acquittal hinder chances of Government job

6 years ago I was falsely convicted under IPC 498 A & 506.I was declared as innocent by the honourable court and also had a mutual divorce post the case.Will there be any problem getting appointed as a clerk in Excise department as the process of appointment has already started. I am very tensed because i don't want my past destroy my present and future.I need this government job very badly. Please any advise would be of great help

No, unless you have concealed the fact as to your conviction in the application form(if any). Concealment of fact might affect your appointment. It is advisable to not conceal such facts while filling up the form during the application made by you.

You will have got to divulge this conviction and acquittal with complete facts of the case before being interviewed, so that there may not arise any question of supression of facts. It is no doubt a case of conviction, but the employer may consider the factor of severity.
