Can one be questioned after having 12 years back confirmation letter.

I don't have 55% of marks but still i was selected as an assistant lecturer because of my good english skills in 2002. After 4 years of service the institute promoted me to lecturer post with the beginning scale. But now the institution is again calling me for cross question and so on..even though i told them about my 12 years back confirmation letter. Please suggest what should be my attitude towards the problem.

Please appreciate that there is no rule till date that if your minimum criterion was not questioned at inception point of time, it wont get questioned at now! You have not mentioned about the minimum eligibility criterion that was prevailing at that time.
