Can I join new without receiving the relieving letter from old company

31-Jan-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
12:28 PM I am working with delhi govt in a permanent job but in probation period. I tender my technical resignation from the present post to join in a job under central govt three and half months back.. I need to give one month prior notice under rule 5 (1) of CCS ( temporary service) rules, 1965 as mentioned in my offer letter. I applied for the post through proper channel. The last date of joining in new job was in January but till now I have not got acceptance letter from authority. Whether I can leave the present job just like that or I need to wait for relieving order.

If you have given notice as per notice period so stipulated in the rules mentioned above, you may join the new job. Before doing the same you may write another letter citing your resignation / notice period letter to your current organization.
