Can i apply for Govt job after being acquitted by the Court in a case?

I was named in the FIR by the Police during a fight in the college. the court has acquitted me and now i want to apply for govt. job. can i do it will the FIR hamper my job prospects? or should i go for quashing of FIR?

Si r depends from job to job and their rules and requirements. However, it is always advisable to get the FIR quashed or get yourself discharged from thr charges before you apply elsewhere. Consult a lawyer in this regard please

Yes once you are acquitted you have same status and rights like any other citizen of India.But it's important to know on what grounds you have been acquitted.

However do declare the same as and when required to

First of all, once you stand acquitted the FIR does not have any significance. Secondly, while most government organizations may not recruit a convict, there is no bar on recruiting a person who was once accused but now acquitted. To be sure however do let me know which government office you intend to apply at so that we can check if their recruitment rules provide for any such disqualification. Regards
