Can employer withdraw the offer letter once offered

22-Jun-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Hi I was offered employment at a bangalore based NGO and I accepted the offer. 3 months later, I was sent an email saying that the offer is withdrawn due to lack of grants. They are offering a month's salary as compensation. I wanted to know if this a breach of contract? If yes, how much compensation should be asked?

In case the offer letter was accepted by you and the company withdrew the offer letter after that, then yes, it is a breach of contract. You can file a suit against the NGO for breach of contract and claim for compensation for the loss suffered by you.
