Can copy of Emails be admitted in court as evidence

31-Aug-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
Hi, I wanted to check if i can produce some documents which i have copied from my official email id as evidence to produce to Hon'ble court. These are the email exchange between customer and me. Is there any possibility that my previous employer can use this against me for Breach of Confidentiality agreement.

Hi
For any evidence including emails, the owner of the mail server ( in this case your employer) will need to certify that the email is original as stored in its mail server under section 65 B of information technology act in the court of law.
If the email evidence is intended to be produced against your employer, then your employer cannot cite breach of confidentiality as the case is against the employer.
If the email evidence is intended to be produced against any third party (who is not your employer), you will need to obtain your employer's consent prior to submitting the same in court.
