Can a PSU bank employee kept under suspension for more than one year

My friend has been working in a public sector bank .He was suspended on November 2019 on a fraud related issue and FIR has been lodged on him.Till now bank has not completed disciplinary proceedings against him.How long can an employee be suspended.I have seen some articles where supreme court has issued an order that all dp proceedings should be completd within 3 months from suspension.Is this true??
keeping suspended for more than one year is illegal pending enquiry had to be completed within 3 months meanwhile half half the salary had to be paid Dekho not withheld the job of of the accused person if an opportunity given to me I will file a writ petition the High Court and get direction enquiry had topi conducted anti seize totally legal
