Can a government employee be suspended due to a pending warrant

Even before the execution and custody of 48 hours, can a government employee be getting suspended by his employer on just coming to know of a pending warrant against that employee.
He can be suspended. Warrant will be issued only in criminal cases. You did not mention The nature of crime employee involved. If he acquitted , he may be reinstated till he will be kept under suspension
