Any legal formalities in hiring a foreigner

Hi, are there any legal bindings for offering employment to foreigners in India which is minimum salaries or any other legal ramifications or rules that one has to abide by.

Yes there is a cap on skilled workers if you recruit a foreign national. That the company which offers employment in India should pay them at least $25,000 per annum if he/she is considered as a skilled worker. Below than that you can not process the employee's work visa in India. So it depends on what kind of job you are offering etc.,

Yes, it depend, on the following:
1. For how long he is authorized to work in India,
2. Nature of Job,
3. Nature of Agreement/Employment/Contract/etc.
4.Under the applicable rule of Ministry of External Affairs.
