Agreement barring future employment. Can Employer take action?

17-Jun-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
After serving for 13 years in medical publishing house recently I left after giving proper 30 days notice and joined another publication house. Since I have joined another publication house that is the main reason that my previous employer asking for an apology letter just to clarify why I joined there. As my previous employer has an agreement on white paper that after leaving the company can not join another one for next 3 years. Is that legal and now they told me that they will suite a case against me. pls help.

Please check your letter of appointment issued to you by your previous employer and the applicable Standing Orders/Service Rules for serving under your previous employer , the letter of resignation submitted by you to your previous employer and the release order issued to you by that employer accepting your letter of resignation. If the resignation tendered by you complying all formalities laid down in the above documents and release order issued by the said employer, you are very much on the right track so far as cessation of employment and PF. Gratuity etc are concerned. About the undertaking you have stated,, it has no legal force, since Such embargo hit's your right to livelyhood.you need be worried about the same. For further instructions contact lawRato.

MY OPINION THAT i have follow your basic problem, that i think that your previous employer are all wrong doing with you and you have all legitimate right /rights to counter all wrong doing of your previous employer ,because the proposition which your previous employer was used in blank paper is fully not constitution in nature, and it also criminal nature by law,you have multiple legal scopes to conter.
