What to do in case of physical and mental abuse by step father?

Hello sir! I am 28yrs old unmarried working girl. My step father always drinks and use abusive languages towards me and sometimes beat me also, so i want to make myself legally safe, as to make him aware that if he do's such type of domestic violence then he will be punished legally.. thankyou so much sir i hope my question will be answered soon...
When your father misbehave with you in drunk position immediately call 1090 women helpline, they resolve the issue immediately. and thereafter file a criminal case i.e. domestic violence against your step father.
