Sister In Law's Family Threatens Of Filing Dowry Case.

my brother got married last December. Bhabhi had been torturing parents and brother in some ways. When we speak up her family threatens us of filing dowry case against us. Brother works in govt bank and father is retired army personnel. What can we do to keep us safe from all this?
First thing i would suggest is file a general complain before the Police Station so as to keep you safe in case they file any fake case against you, this will help you in getting bail if at all complaint is filed from there end.
Also if your brother does not want to live with her wife file a divorce case before the family court
