Relatives didnt inform about the death of my grandmother want to sue
17-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
Can I sue my relatives if they deprived me from performing the last rites of my grandmother? They didn't even inform me about the same. My objection is that they should have informed me the day she was hospitalized but I was all unaware and 15 days later, one of the other relatives called me and said such thing happened. I was shocked to hear all this. Probably they wanted all the property to be given to them which was in my grandmother's name at the time of her last breath. The relatives that I want to sue are my paternal aunts. Two of them. I am a Hindu Punjabi, don't know if it matters in terms of laws or not but thought of mentioning it just in case.
Sir,
You can file against your relatives for not informing about not performing the last rites of your grandmother. You can also file a civil case against the legal heirs of the deceased for getting your share in the grandmother's property.
