regarding government employement

this is to ask about the government appointment, as my father was a govt. employee . I had completed 9th class and got to 10th class when my father passed away in april 2010 .Though my mother was also govt. of the same grade and we had submitted the application to get appointment . Till now there is no response , so am i eligible for the job ?? please help me in this regard ...... Thnak you

There is condition precedent for getting employment under a compassionate ground.
1. The death of father is to be tool place during the employment.
2. The application for the post of the father should be made within two years of death.
There you should give representation to the concern department along with necessary documents to show that your are eligible for the said post.
In case if you not get any response you can file a application before the Central /Karnataka Administrative Tribunal with all your correspondence in respect of the job you claimed
