Can a child adopt mother's caste if born to forward mother and a scheduled caste father??
yes..you can approach thasildar office and clarify the present law is clearly says that whether u can adopt either father’s caste or mother’s caste..thereafter u can apply for the concern certificate

Yes, according to a recent Madras High Court ruling, the child may opt for his/her father's or mother's caste. It is not compulsory that the child should have his/her father's caste. Please be guided accordingly.
