Parents have defamed my status in the society

I am 30 years old unmarried male. My mother had received a share in her ancestral property. She has handed over the entire amount to some third party with an ambition of earning huge money and also have asked few other members to invest their money as well. Till date not even a single rupee has been returned by then. With this my reputation in the society is spoilt and my personnel life has been ruined. Please let me know the next steps.
