Marriage and engagement broken..I am hindu in religion

I was going to marry a girl on Nov and was going to get engaged on jun-5th but as in the time of getting the time of knowing each other we had fights and her behavior was rude and I was not happy and I broke my marriage before engagement on jul 3.
Now bride side is demanding money from groom side asking us to pay all the money for all advance booking that made and if I don't pay they are threatening to file a legal notice against me..what should I do?
I dont see any criminality in your case. You must be having some call records and any evidences which would show that the there was some compatibility issues with her, If yes, there is no way that they can initiate any legal proceedings against you.
