Is it is mandatory to pay maintenance to children above 21 years
24-Jun-2023 (In Family Law)
Is it is mandatory to pay maintenance to children above 21 years, one (son) finished graduation and the other perusing her Graduation.
You are not under a legal obligation to pay maintenance to your adult child generally. But as your son is still pursuing his education so he is not in a position to maintain himself. So he may file a maintenance petition under section 125 Cr.P.C for maintaining him if you stop maintaining him in the present situation.
