Father in law harassing and Taking child without consent

Hello,
I live in a joint family. My in laws keep harassing me a lot. They don’t give me food to eat did me and my child. My father in law keeps taking my child away from me without telling me. Many tines I have to go searching for the child and will often be left in dangerous situations . I have begged him not to do this. However, can I do anything legally to stop him from touching my child. Can I call the police if he takes my child out without consent

It is one kind of domestic violence and temporary kidnapping. You have every right to take any action against your father in law in the welfare of the child. You can file suit against him not to touch your child. It being sensitive matter take decision after thought.
