Can maintainance be given to wife in case husband has cheated on her

Sir, i have a friend working as railway employee and who have etc maritial affairs and his wife knows everyting and after knowing this, she get seperated without taking divoce,his wife is a shiksakarmi warg 2, and now she is going to apply for compensation, so my question is does she can apply and get compensation from her husband
Yes she can apply for the maintenance and she has the right to get the same from the husband. Though the quantum of the amount can be reduced since she is also working and earning her lively hood. But she has right to get maintaince
