Can injunction be filed in different state as that of divorse case?

My sister's divorse case is currently in lower court(Chennai) filed by her husband. 10 days back her brother-in-law called her and informed that they are planning for second marriage for her husband. So, we want to file a civil suit for getting injuction in order to refrain them from second marriage.
Question is can the injunction be filed in Bangalore as my sister is currently residing and working in Bangalore?
The husband is committing bigamy under section 494 IPC. It is punishable offence and second marriage becomes void during subsistence of 1st marriage.
But you can transfer divorce petition in Bangalore and later file an Injunction refraining second marriage.
