Can a sister take guardianship of brother

19-Dec-2023 (In Family Law)
Hi, We are from a Hindu Brahmin family. I am a 22 years old girl and employed. I earn around 4 lakhs per year. I have a younger brother aged 16. As we are from a Brahmin family, we are always forced to do what our parents tell us. I was forced to study Engineering when I wanted to do Journalism. As I am employed, I am now studying courses to further my career in Journalism. However, my parents want my brother to study Engineering and are forcing us to do what he says through emotional blackmail, tantrums etc. We have been emotionally abused quite a bit throughout our childhood. I want to become the sole guardian for my brother so that I can take care of him without the interference of my parents. Is this possible with a petition and not going through a trial to court and a long battles with my parents. Is it possible if I prove that our parents are emotionally abusing us? If yes, how much will it cost and how long will it take.

If you want to see your brothers bright future and ad you are an earning person certainly you can look after your brother as guardian after convincing your father.if you file in court cost is negotiable and time can not say
