Can a man sell his house without the consent of his wife

My father is having an affair from past 10 years so he always tortures my mother mentally and abusivily many times physically also whenever my mother is alone with him he never accepts about his affairs in front of anybody my mother is a simple housewife and completely dependent on him so he always tortures my mother even for small things that house in which we are living, he always says that he will sell this house and he will make my mother homeless so I want to ask that is this possible that without the consent of my mother our house can be sold to anybody please help me with this?? That house is in my father's name
