Hello, My name is Akhil. Currently my sister is in 9th STD at bengalore school. From LKG to 9th she is studying in the same school. My father's name was wrongly written(i.e., "Sri" in name was written as Sree) by us in her school's addmission form so, the same is updated in SATS and saved in all other school records but my father's name is correctly mentioned in all the documents like birth certificate and aadhar card. When I approached school for correction there are dening it stating that they don't have authority to correct father's name instead it can only be done by court decree. So, May I know weather the court decree is necessary for correction?. Bcz school is stating that to correct the past records and SATS details it requires court decree so only then they can provide study certificate or any other certificates with correct father's name in future. Thanks in advance.
