Procedure if a stolen Bike is caught by the traffic police

If someone buys a stolen bike at cheapest price with no papers and they are caught by traffic police,then they will be arrested or not. Or only Bike will be captured and stored in PS.
the person who has bought the stolen bike, will be arrested on the charges of robbery and he will have to prove his innocence that the bike was bought by him from the person and only after going through the procedure the person will be left. it is important to note that the bike will also remain in the custody of police.
