Post nuptial contract between me and my husband demanding settlement

04-Nov-2023 (In Documentation Law)
Hi, I am a Hindu woman. My husband's family had always been non supportive towards our union. We got married in court a couple of months back with my parents help. His family isn't aware of it. The social marriage is to be held soon. They have reluctantly agreed to attend the ceremony to save face in society. Before this, we tried getting the families together to discuss our alliance. This resulted in his side of the family giving us subtle hints of dowry like demands, though the word in itself was never uttered. When directly asked, they have always refused. I am scared that they may cause a scene during the wedding by making last minute demands or stop my husband from reaching my hometown for the wedding. Is it possible to get a contract drawn up between me and my husband, demanding a sizable amount in settlement, in case either of my fears come true. The purpose of it will be to keep his family in check and stop them from ruining the wedding.

yes you can make an mutual agreement with your partner before marriage it will definitely help you if any issues take place in future in between both of your family members or if your partner refuses to marry on the instigation of his family members.
