New birth certificate request from the hospital?? And will they provi

12-Nov-2023 (In Documentation Law)
I've lost my birth certificate, and I have no legal proof with me! But I clearly remember my birthdate and the hospital I was born! Will the hospital (govt) give the details. Will they still have the records after 17 years! Or should include lawyer ?

Hi there is no need of engaging an advocate to obtain the birth certificate from the Hospital in which you were born. Please approach the concerned hospital and make a request application for issue of Birth Certificate as the earlier one is lost. Please provide your parents details and documentary evidence. They shall be able to trace out the same from the records and issue another Birth Certificate. If there is any rejection to render the service then you may seek the help of the District Health Officer/ District Surgeon.
