How to change the name on property Papers

Dear sir, i have a small issue in our land document. before years a land of ours was registered in my mothers name... my mothers name is Ealiyamma in all documents..But she also got a name called as jessy...no documents its just a alias name used at home. Unfortunately the land was registered in the name jessy, i know thats gonna be a problem in future, so now i need to change the name. Can i change the name..? whats the procedure..??

You have two possible solutions
1) Firstly, please approach the seller of the said property to file a "rectification deed" wherein the name shall be rectified as Alias Jessy
2) If not, I would advise you to change your mother's name in the Gezette
