Will I get marriage expenses if I am filing divorce

I have completed 3 years of marriage. From past 1 year I am living seperately from my husband due to domestic voilence & physical mental trauma. I am having previous complaint letters of police station against my husband. In past 1 year my husband didn't send me a single msg. I tried talking to him but he is not intrested. Now I want divorce, I am a working girl & having no kid. My question is if I will file a divorce case, will I be eligible to get money which my father gave to my husband's father at the time of marriage. It was a bank to bank transfer and can show in bank statement. Please suggest...
