Wife delaying proceedings intentionally

13-Feb-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I have filed for divorce in 2018, but the case proceedings are not finished yet. My wife is staying with her parents and with kid and she is not coming to the court and the case is adjourned for a later date. For a hearing, she comes for the first time and the next two times she will not come and her lawyer will say she can't come because of such and such issues. Then they somehow manage to adjust the case date and it will be scheduled after another three months. So this has became a never ending process for me . I got married in 2015 and only stayed together for 1 year. First i filed for the restitution complaint and then also was the same behaviour as she will not come for the counseling. She is telling she don't want to continue the relationship, but not ending it also. Now i am ready to give the money they are asking, but same kind of behaviour. My lawyer is telling there is nothing we can do, but i am not sure about that. I have the next mediation tomorrow.

what is their demand. If you are not satisfied with your advocate you can change. you can also approach to high court to get speed response from family Court. You can also submit your concern before concerned family Court as well.

Listen to this: If the Court does not receive a second motion within 18 months of the first, it is not bound by the mutual consent divorce decree. For a divorce to be granted by mutual consent, both parties must freely consent.
