Regarding divorce filled by husb

My husb filed a divorce case against me, but I contested with the reply. We living in a same house , Secondly I filed a violence and dowry case against him ..but police is not filling the FIR . Husb presented documents of divorce as a proof to close the case. Can police close the case without my consent.
Firstly it's manage for police officer to register the FIR and if they did not find any substantial then policeay file closer report.
even in that event also Court will issue notice to the complaiants so if they want to Challange the closer report they may do so.
