Procedure to get separated after forced marriage

My friend was forced to get married . Both bride and bridegroom was not happy with the marraige. But unfortunately they got married on July 19 2018 according to Hindu rituals. The next they decided to get seperated. Now they are not living together .and their marraige isn't registered. What are the procedures involved to get separated and how many days it would require ?
You have to file the divorce petition in family court ,if its mutual divorce you need not wait for 6 months period. Otherwise for 6 months you have to wait.inbetween, both of you will be sent to mediation centre if any reconciliation.
