My boyfriend asked me to sign an notary affidavit 4 years back. Now he is threatening me with that and asking money. If I won't give me money he will file a case against me with that document. That time he told that it was a notary affidavit certificate so that I signed. But now he is telling that it's an court marriage and threatening me for money. I don't know what to do. Is it really legal. He is not showing me the certificate that he is having so I am not it's an court marriage or affidavit only. I am really stressed with this please help

Notary marriages are not binding upon you. Do not give into the blackmail made by him. You can file a formal complaint before the police and keep it open for safekeeping, if he tried to create any trouble, ver can file FIR and push him inside the jail. And, notaries are supposed to take signature if you in their registry, if you did not sign, then it has no legal validity.

Dear Client,

Hope your fine and safe,

If a marriage is registered only as per law its Acceptance.

Ask him to show you the documents.

Else you can visit Women's police station in your locality.
