I got married in november 2017. I had an accident in march 2018 and my leg got severly fractured. I had an emergency surgery and i was scheduled for another surgery after 2 months. My wife because of my injury decided to leave me. She quarelled with my mother and went her home. I called her and her father and requested  to send her back. But he said she doesn't want to come back saying that we didn't care for her. Now its been 10 months, I endured 3 surgeries, still unable to walk without a walker. Now her father called us demanding 20 lakhs so that it can be settled without going to court. I work in a public sector bank as a clerk. My take home salary is 40K. How much alimony or lumpsum amount should i have to pay if she goes to court? If she agrees for mutual consent, how much should i settle for? Also I have a plot in my name which I purchased with my mother's funds in 2011. Can they claim that? Should i transfer it on my mother's name or sell it now?

hi
if the wife separated from husband when husband is bedridden on account of hospitalisation, it is called desertion.
wife deserting the husband that too when the husband is hospitalized is NOT entitled for any alimony or maintenance.
if she wants mutual consent divorce you may grant the same without alimony.
unreasonable demands (20 lakhs) will thrown out by court as wife has deserted the husband.
property obtained prior to marriage cannot
