Mutual divorce christians - pre conditions to file a divorce and time

We have decided to go for mutual divorce.there was domestic harassment involved.however considering the childs future,v r going ahead with mutual divorce.what r the ore conditions for mutual divorce.in how many months we will get it.we both r christians
If you are ready for mutual divorce, you can file a petition for that and normally after one month, both of you will be called for counselling. And after six months of the petition you can file an affidavit.
