Issued a notice for maintainance

my wife has issued a summon and sent me a pic of it via whatsapp, i m in netherlands and my wife is in bangalore, and i got the mail from embassy with attached pic of that summon, but I,ll not get a leave from my job.
so is that summon valid on whatsapp or email via embassy.
what should i do if can,t be in bangalore on the date of hearing
Hi... if you received summons through mail it is valid only. If you are not able to appear before the court on that day you can a appoint an advocate and instruct him to file a vakalath on behalf of you and take time for your appearance before the court.
