Is my wife entitle to Joint immovable property after divorce

21-Jun-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I have a joint immovable property (me and my dad's name) under construction meant for residential use. This was bought before my marriage. If my wife divorces me, is she entitle to a share of the house?

As per your query,

You are the 50% owner of the residential flat. If your wife is educated, working and can maintain herself then in that case you have a chance to escape from the liability of paying maintenance to her. However she can only claim the share in your 50% share in the immovable property. She can also demand ask you to provide shelter under the D.V. Act.
