Dowry case can be filed as and when the Dowry is Demanded.

there is no Limitations to file a Dowry case after the Marriage it can be filed as and when it is Demanded may be it may Demanded after 50 years after marriage.

you can file the case no need to worry about dowry cases now a day's this sections are very commonly used by everyone so the gravity of the the case is very low and after 7 years case of dowry not stand but cruelty stands it depends on your case

After seven years of marriage a woman can bring a case under Section 498A, provided that the cruelty was committed during marriage.
