Get divorce from husband for desertion

21-Oct-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am a Roman Catholic. My husband abandoned me and went to Dubai. I dont know where he stays or works. There was no response from him. I waited for more than 5 years. I dont want to wait anymore and I need a divorce from him for desertion. I dont expect anything from him. I need a divorce in a shorter time and i want to step into my career and new life. I applied for Visa to work abroad. Before going I would like to finish everything. What should i do to get a divorce in a shorter time. Please guide me.

Hi...you can file a divorce case under ground of desertion. But in this type of cases notice will be served to your husband and after serving of notice only your case will be proceed. After serving of notice if your husband is not appearing before the court you can get the exparte divorce in your favour.
Thank you
