Divorce Petition Under Cruelty Ground

Hi My name is Anand and I got married 3 years back with a Muslim girl.marriage happened according to Christian marriage act 1872 bt I am Hindu mala according to certificate bt following Christianity.Now because of her torture I filed for divorce under cruelty but they filed a counter saying that I am Hindu according to certificate but saying as Christian in petition. So the petition filed is a wrong one so they asking to reject the divorce petition. Now the case came to trial so kindly suggest me how to approach for this counter

you are a converted Christian and hence the court will not reject your petition.
however you need to be clear on whether your wife converted to Christianity before marriage as in law if your wife did not convert to Christianity, then your marriage should have been under special marriage act and not Christian marriage act
