Divorce in USA, will it be termed Legal in India

Will Divorce in USA hold valid for marriage registered in India? Marriage is not consummated and never lived together for entire 1 n half years of marriage. Possible to get divorce in USA but want to know if thats considered divorce in India as well.
In india cruelty[mental/physical] and desertion are grounds for divorce.If you have evidence you can have a divorce.If you obtain divorce from US Court it is valid in India as well.Non -consummation of marriage is both mental and physical cruelty.There will be a reason behind it.If that be so the marriage is irretrievably failed.
