Clarification on procedure to file for mutual divorce

The divorce application has been filled on 28th October 2018. one time police varification is done and till now no updates. The lawyer is saying this week the file may be moved,next week lets go and search. Its applied for mutual concern divorce. Why is it actually delaying? Should i change the lawyer? 6 months cooling off period is what he told its 8th month now.

In Mutual Consent case the question of Police inquiry doesn't arise. As you told you had already filed you will get 6 month cooling period. In case if it was mutual consent immediate after 6 month the case will be closed. Better you go directly to the court and ask in the inquiry. Then your wish to change the advocate.
