In a Section 10(a) Hindu Marriage Act case, the term "uncontested and disposed" means that one of the parties has not contested the claims made by the other party and the court has passed an order for judicial separation based on the evidence presented by the petitioner or plaintiff.

Section 10(a) of the Hindu Marriage Act provides for the judicial separation of a married couple, which is a legal separation that does not dissolve the marriage. A petition for judicial separation can be filed by either spouse on the grounds of cruelty, desertion, adultery, or other specified grounds.

If the respondent or defendant in a Section 10(a) case fails to appear in court or submit a written response to the claims made by the petitioner or plaintiff within the prescribed time limit, the court may consider the claims to be uncontested and pass an order for judicial separation based on the evidence presented by the petitioner or plaintiff.

Once the order for judicial separation is passed, the case is considered to be disposed of or closed, and no further proceedings are required. The parties remain legally married, but they are separated and are not required to live together. The order may also specify the terms and conditions of the separation, such as maintenance, custody of children, and division of property.

It is important to note that if a party feels that they were unable to contest the claims due to any valid reason, they can file an application for setting aside the order and request a fresh hearing of the case. However, such applications are subject to certain conditions and must be filed within a specific time frame.
