Adoption Certificate documents process

We got married last year and this is my wife’s second marriage.Before she was Hindu and marring with me she is converted into Muslim caste. She has a daughter from her earlier marriage and I wish to legally adopt her and change her name to our family name - (this is what my wife and I both want). Can you help me with the process and documentation required for such kind of adoption cases. I tried researching on the net but the adoption process in India is not very clear. Any help will be great.
