498A,DV and other Matromonial cases during MCD is in Process

Me and my wife file MCD in Aug 2019 court has given second date for Feb 2020 for second motion.I havent prepare my mind for divorce I need some more time to think on the sam. I have already paid all the money which we have settled before filling MCD during first motion.I understood that MCD can be extended upto 18 Months.I need help on following points
1) can cases like 498 A,DV and other matromonial cases should be filed by wife if MCD is in process after signing of first motion.If these cases can be filled than what husband can do to safeguard himself
2) What pressure tactics wife side can use to make the second motion happen after 6 months.Because wife is in hurry and husband want to extend it upto 18 Months
3) How husband can extend cooling period of 6 months to 18 Months
